The re-construction will be done in sections. When construction is happening behind your property you will NOT have access for approximately 3-7 days.
Re-Construction is starting in the middle of Calgie Lane. Landscaping will be done behind Central Neighbourhood House replacing the sidewalk on the west side. Click on the landscaping drawings below for the landscaping plan.[/vc_column_text]
Moving north or south on Calgie Lane these sections will be completed. Access to Calgie Lane will be always open for vehicles and pedestrians at all times. Except where construction is occurring.
When Calgie Lane re-construction is complete Drovers and Callaghan Lanes will be done individually. Access will be open to Calgie Lane while construction is done each of these lanes. Access from the North or South depending on which lane is under construction.
There will be a site office. It will not be located on the street taking up our street parking. The contractor has rented a off street location. The exact location was not specified. We assume it will be the Beer Store Parking Lot at Gerrard & Ontario St.
The City’s contractor will:
• Dig up the road surface
• Re-align maintenance holes and catch basins
• Repair curbs, gutters and driveways
• Replace the granular base and install a new concrete layer
• Restore areas affected by construction
Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, with work after hours and on weekends as required.
