Safety & Security Reminders

1.  Parking on the street? Make sure nothing is visible in you car. Even a small amount of money can be enough for someone to smash your window.

2. Lighting, is a great way to deter intruders from coming onto your property. Go outside your residence after dark and do an audit. Are there dark spots? Do the bushes and trees need to be trimmed?  Consider installing lights.  There are now inexpensive and effective solar-powered options that are motion activated.

3. A security system can add a new level of comfort. Eliminate monitoring fees by installing an interactive video system such as the RING video doorbell or the RING video floodlight system. You will receive a ‘ring’ on your mobile device or computer anytime someone comes onto your property; you can check if it is an intruder (or a squirrel) and press a button to speak with them or warn them off – no matter where you are located.

4. Lastly, secure outdoor furniture and garden decor whenever possible to deter thieves from stealing them.
